The main and most common malfunction of all receivers is a malfunction in the power circuit and the voltage converter. And if your receiver does not show any signs of life, then do not rush to take it to a repair shop or throw it away. It is quite possible to deal with this problem on your own.

Instructions

Step 1

Unplug the mains plug and remove the top protective cover. Make sure that the warranty period of your receiver has expired, because if this is not the case and you break the seal, then you will not be able to get justice from the service center. If the warranty is still valid, then why not follow the instructions and use the repair services from the company.

Step 2

Open the cover and inspect the power board. Pay attention to the fuse, which is usually installed at the beginning of the circuit (it may be of an unusual shape for you - all receivers are different). Get to the fuse and check for an open with a tester or multimeter. If the fuse is blown, then buy the same in the radio store, change it, and the job is done. If this is not the case, then check the details further along the chain.

Step 3

Check the transformer with a tester. To do this, you need to measure the voltage on the secondary winding. Very often the problem lies in him. If it is faulty, then not everyone can replace it and it may be worth taking the receiver to a workshop.

Step 4

Check if the capacitors are in good condition. Usually, failed capacitors have a yellowish color or a small brown spot on the base of the board. You can also determine if a capacitor is faulty by comparing its measured and rated capacitance. If the case is still in the capacitors, simply replace them with others using a soldering iron.

Step 5

Check the outer insulation of the cable. The cause of the malfunction may be water that got into the damaged cable from precipitation and got into the receiver as through the hose. Pay close attention to external insulation and periodically visually inspect the entire length of the cable. This must be done throughout the entire service life of the device.

Step 6

Reflash the receiver. This method is suitable if the native firmware has flown off and the device just starts to freeze.
