To synchronize audio and video tracks, you need to use special applications that allow you to separate the digital video from the audio file and re-combine them so that they match. How to do this, read on.
Instructions
Step 1
Download and install a special program in order to synchronize audio with video. The most popular are iMovie for Mac and Adobe Premier for PC. Open the video file in the program. To do this, select the "File" menu item on the toolbar, then "Import". After the window opens, go to the directory where the file is stored, click on it once with the left mouse button and click "Open".
Step 2
Click on the first clip created from the uploaded video. After that press the Shift key and the down arrow to select all the clips that were created from this file. Once all the clips are selected, click on any clip and drag it onto the timeline. This is to ensure that the clips are in the correct order.
Step 3
Then click on the "+" button to display the audio track. Then right click on the audio or video track. In the context menu, select the "Divide" item or Unlink if you are using a non-Russian version of the program.
Step 4
Move the clips to the right or left, depending on this, the track will turn on later or earlier, respectively. To keep your video in sync with your audio, constantly check that the clips are moving correctly. To do this, periodically press the "Play" button.
Step 5
After you sync the tracks, save the resulting file. To do this, select the "File" menu item on the toolbar, then "Export". Select the directory where you would like to save the synced file. If you want to sync audio to video automatically, download VirtualDub. It has an option to automatically synchronize audio and video tracks.
Step 6
Run the program, select the desired file, divide the tracks. Then select "Video" from the toolbar, then "Sync" and "Auto-sync". The audio and video track will be synced automatically.
