Step 1
To connect the PS3 with a cable, you must insert the plug of the cable connector into the corresponding port. Start the console and wait for it to load, then connect the joysticks and go to "Settings" - "Network settings" - "Internet connection". In the list of options that appears, click "Enable".

Using the arrows on the joystick, scroll through the menu to the "Connection settings" line and press the X key. Confirm your choice by clicking "Yes" in the menu that appears. In the "Configuration Method" field, specify "Simple". In the "Connection Type" menu, select "Wired". If you want to connect to a Wi-Fi network, select “Wireless”. In the list that appears, select your network and enter the password to connect.
Step 3
Go to the "Address Settings" section and click "Simple". In the list of suggested parameters, specify the settings for your network provided by your ISP. Then save your changes by clicking on the X button.
Step 4
Start checking the connection, after which the set-top box will be connected to the Internet. If this does not happen, check the specified settings again. Internet setup on Playstation 3 is complete.
Step 5
To connect the Xbox 360 to the network, you will also need to call the corresponding menu item. To configure the connection, connect the cable to the set-top box, then start it and select the "Settings" - "System settings" section. In the list that appears, click "Network settings" - "Wired network". In the same section, you can specify your wireless network by selecting the appropriate name of the adapter and entering the password for access.
Step 6
If you are connecting with a cable, click "Configure Network". Enter your connection parameters provided by your internet service provider. After completing the settings, click "Save" and try to connect. If the settings are successful, you will see a corresponding notification on the screen. If the connection fails, check the specified data again. Internet setup on Xbox is now complete.
