Instructions
Step 1
Turn off your computer immediately after deleting important information. This will protect you from overwriting hard disk sectors on which deleted files are located. Use another PC to connect to the Internet.
Step 2
Download Easy Recovery. Download the installation files for this utility to a USB flash drive or DVD. Turn on the first computer. Select the partition of the hard drive where the program will be installed. Do not use the local drive where the deleted photos were located.
Step 3
If your hard drive is not partitioned, install Easy Recovery to a USB drive. Now run the utility and open the File Recovery menu.
Step 4
In the second dialog menu, navigate to the Deleted Recovery option. Examine the window that opens. Select the partition of the hard drive where the files will be searched for.
Step 5
Pay attention to the File Filter field. Enter the type of photos to be recovered into it. Most often, images are stored in.
Step 6
Click the Next button. Let the program do the necessary operations. After a while, you will receive a list of photos to be restored. Select the required files with the checkboxes. Click the Save button. Select a folder to save your data.
Step 7
If you want to recover photos from a USB drive with a damaged file system, install Magic Photo Recovery. Use it if the file system of your flash drive is in RAW format.
Step 8
Run the program and specify the USB drive you want to scan. Click the Scan button and wait until the analysis of the flash drive is complete. Now select the photos you want and click the Save button. Specify a directory on your hard drive where the selected photos will be placed.
