Files accidentally deleted from your hard drive is always frustrating, especially when it comes to photographs. But you can try to restore them. Fortunately, in some cases this is possible. Instructions
Step 1
The easiest way to recover deleted photos is if they are in the "Trash". Usually, immediately after deleting files on the computer, they are placed in the "Trash", which can be accessed through a shortcut on the desktop. To do this, right-click on the file and click "Restore". The file will disappear from the "Trash" and return to the folder from which it was deleted.
Step 2
If you have already emptied the Trash, the situation becomes more complicated. However, there is a chance to restore photos if a little time has passed since the deletion and no other files have been added on top of them. The more free space on your hard drive, the more likely your photos are intact. The fact is that files deleted from the hard disk do not physically disappear, but only become "invisible" - information about them and their location on the disk becomes inaccessible to the user. There are special programs for recovering such information. Among them are GetDataBack, Handy Recovery, Easy File Undelete, Easy Drive Data Recovery, Undelete Plus, Recuva, etc.
Step 3
An example of photo recovery using Recuva. The program works with file systems FAT, NTFS and exFAT, with Windows operating systems. Download Recuva and install (it's free). Start it up. A welcome window will open, click Next. Then you will be asked what type of data you would like to recover. To restore photos, check the box next to the "Pictures" option and click "Next". Then you will need to specify where the files were before deletion: in a specific folder, in the "Trash" and on removable media. If you do not remember this, select "Unknown exactly". Click Next. Optionally turn on in-depth analysis and click Get Started. Recuva will start searching for graphic files.
Step 4
When the program gives you a list of detected files, check the boxes next to the ones you need and click "Restore".
