Pick your side. Otherwise, you will act as Naavi. What's important is that the gameplay is completely different in both cases.
Step 2
When playing as a human - shoot. The game turns into a classic third-person shooter - your character moves through the levels, can use a variety of techniques and has a machine gun as the only means of fighting the enemy. Please note that you have very few lives: it is absolutely impossible to come close to Naavi. At the same time, in battle you are quite dangerous, and therefore resort to sniper tactics more often.
Step 3
Naavi are melee fighters. Despite the fact that they have a bow, it is much preferable to break into the formation of people and fight them hand-to-hand. For faster movement, use the rolls; jump - to make it harder for the enemy to hit you.
Step 4
Don't forget about upgrades. You are constantly growing in level and get "modification points", which you can distribute at your discretion. Some will go to improve weapons, some will go to the development of special skills.
Step 5
Use your skills in battle. These are special features that make it easier to walk through. So, having climbed into a crowd of opponents by a resident of Pandora, you can invoke an "insect invasion" in order to inflict a massive blow on all surrounding opponents.

Never miss an opportunity to use technology and transport. In one case, buggies and helicopters act in this capacity, in the other - birds and horses. They perform approximately the same function, but for people the use of such "help" is much more useful: the machine acts as an additional defense and attack means.
