How often do you see folders on your hard drive that you can't delete? The problem is really unpleasant. Sometimes such a folder does not contain any items. Most often, it is caused by a system crash or a slight freeze of the computer. Also, a possible reason could be a failed deletion of a file in this folder, or the location of a hidden or system file in this folder.

Instructions
Step 1
Let's take a look at the most obvious reason for not being able to delete a folder: there are files in the folder. These can be hidden or system files, files that have been deleted, but are displayed by the system. In order to delete a hidden or system file, which is not recommended for many users of personal computers, it is necessary to enable the display of these files by the system. Open any disk - click the menu "Tools" - "Folder options" - in the window that opens, go to the "View" tab. Uncheck "Hide protected system files (recommended)". Check the box next to "Hidden files and folders" - "Show hidden files and folders". You can now remove hidden or system files. Try deleting the folder you need.
Step 2
If the problem is with files that have been deleted, but are displayed by the system, then the solution may be to restart the operating system. If the files are still not deleted in this case, you can use the XP Tweaker program. This program is used to fine-tune the operation of the Windows operating system. Start the program - in the window that opens, select the "Problem solving" tab - in the avi-files block, activate the option "Correct removal of avi-files" - click "OK". This option allows you to delete not only invalid avi files, but also files of other formats. After rebooting, try deleting the non-removable files again, and then the folder.
Step 3
In addition to the reasons described above for problematic folder deletion, there is another reason - the long name of the folder you have selected. The solution to this problem might be to rename the folder. As a rule, after renaming, this folder is easily deleted.
