A Java application can be redesigned using dedicated programs. This is done in order to reduce the size of application files due to the limited memory allocated for them on the mobile device.

Instructions
Step 1
Since a java application is a special kind of archive file, use an archiving program to unpack the contents. Depending on what you are editing applications for, find and install programs for editing its content for your computer, for example, various graphic editors or programs for working with sound.
Step 2
Please note that when editing java applications, in no case should you change the names and extensions of the files included in the archive. Open an image editor such as Adobe Photoshop or similar. Use the edit menu to reduce the size of the image. It is best not to affect the dimensions of its sides or their aspect ratio, just change the number of dots per pixel.
Step 3
You can also save the image for the web by setting its initial length and width parameters, while Adobe Photoshop will independently select the parameters to reduce the file weight and maintain the highest possible quality.
Step 4
Use a converter program to resize the sound file. Change the bitrate value to the lowest one, and then save it with the same name and extension in the folder with the unzipped content, replacing the original one. You can use a standard text editor to edit the software.
Step 5
To check the application for errors, download and install the emulator program. You can also use full-fledged builders that include them in your menu, for example, Nokia's editor.
Step 6
Re-create the software installation file, which includes the items you have already edited. Pre-check the program for errors so that you do not have to do everything again in the future.
