A network worm is a type of malware. It can be "picked up" on a computer by visiting various Internet resources. One of the main signs of a network worm is the blocking of the anti-virus program, as well as the inability to visit the official websites of the anti-virus software developers. This is extremely nasty malware. And of course, at the first symptoms of a computer infection with this virus, you need to take measures to get rid of it.
Necessary
- - computer;
- - utility KKiller;
- - utility of Dr. Zaitsev.
Instructions
Step 1
To remove a network worm, you need the KKiller utility. It's completely free. Download the program from the Internet. Unpack the archive with it to any folder. There is no need to install the utility, you can run it directly from the folder. If you have flash drives connected to your computer, remove them. Also, temporarily disable your antivirus software.
Step 2
Then launch the KKiller program. It will start scanning your personal computer. The utility will block active infection of files, scan the PC's RAM, and also clean the system registry. It is better not to perform any other operations on the computer during the scanning process. When the scan is complete, the window will say "Press any key". Accordingly, this is what needs to be done. After that, be sure to restart your PC.
Step 3
The next antivirus program that can help solve the problem is called Dr. Zaitsev's utility. It is also free. Find it on the Internet, download and unzip it to any folder. This utility also does not need to be installed. Start it up.
Step 4
In the main menu of the program, find the section "Treatment methods". In it, uncheck the box next to the "Perform disinfection" line. Next, in the same menu, click "File", then select "Start Scanning". Now you need to wait for the scanning process to complete. Its results are displayed in the protocol. A result report will be presented at the very bottom of this protocol. If the utility succeeds in detecting a network worm, it will be removed from your system.
Step 5
Reboot your computer. After that, it is recommended to check the system using a regular anti-virus program.
