According to practice, in Counter-Strike, the winner is usually not the one who shoots better, but the one who behaves more cunningly in battle. One of the main tactical elements is the radar, which helps to navigate the battlefield, but sometimes it can interfere with the view, then it should be turned off.
Instructions
Step 1
Check your game settings. First of all, the presence of a radar determines the corresponding item in the "Options" - "Interface" menu, which can be removed at any time.
Step 2
Use the console. Launch the main settings window by checking the box next to the "Activate Console" function. After starting a single player game (so as not to be distracted), press the "tilde" (~) key on your keyboard. In the command line that appears, you can enter internal commands: the drawradar and hideradar codes are responsible for turning the radar on and off. You can also use the cl_radartype command with a value of 0 or 1 to enable or disable the minimap transparency mode.
Step 3
Search on the Internet and download the hud.txt file for Counter-Strike, if entering console commands did not help turn off the radar. Perhaps its current copy could be damaged or replaced with a low-quality one (for example, when installing mods). Place the new file in the game / cstrike subfolder.
Step 4
Try to install cheats. In addition to the popular aimbot or wallhack, there is a RADAR cheat that displays both your enemies and allies on the map. Of course, it provides an invaluable tactical advantage, but at the same time it is a dishonest move. To control the radar, download the RADAR modification to your computer by unpacking it into the game folder. Run the file with the *.exe extension, remembering the key that activates the cheat. After starting the game, go to the server and double-click on the desired button: with this you can turn on the radar and immediately remove it from the screen.
Step 5
Change the skin of the radar, making it more invisible or completely transparent. To do this, do it yourself or download and unpack an archive containing a new radar image to any convenient location on your computer. Inside you will find several *.spr files. Copy them to the / sprites folder in the root directory. If the names of any files coincide, feel free to delete their old versions (or save a backup copy with the possibility of recovery). If the specified folder is missing, create it yourself.
