With the advent of the Windows 7 operating system, many users have had a problem related to the lack of free space on the system partition of the hard drive. The fact is that Windows XP only needed 1-2 GB of disk space, not counting additional programs. The distribution kit "Seven" takes up a little less than 4 GB, and the installed OS of the Ultimate package weighs almost 15 GB.

Partition Magic
Instructions
Step 1
Download Paragon Partition Magic. The version, ideally, should not be lower than the 8th. After installing the program in the usual way, restart your computer. This will allow you to perform all the desired operations on any partitions.
Step 2
Reducing the size.
If you need to "cut off" a piece of a section without adding it to others that already exist, then go to the "Master" tab, the "section creation" sub-item. Then, following the instructions, select the section from which you want to separate the required volume.
Step 3
Redistribution of space between sections.
If you need to add free space to one of the partitions, for example, the system one, then your algorithm will change slightly. Sequentially open the items "Wizard", "Additional functions", "redistribution of free space." Similarly, based on the prompts, select the partitions to which free space will be added and from which (s) it will be removed. The following factors should be considered here:
- All partitions participating in the process must work in the same file system.
- To significantly speed up the process, sections should contain a minimum of information (ideally - formatted).
- If you need to connect two partitions with a cavity, then you should select "Combine partitions".
