Step 1
Start your computer and connect your webcam through its USB port, which is usually located on the front or back of the case. If you are connecting an external camera to a laptop, plug the device cable into the corresponding connector on the side panel.

Wait for the camera to be defined in the system. If Windows supports your webcam model, it will be automatically recognized and you will not need to take additional steps to download and install the necessary drivers. If the camera is not detected, you will see a corresponding notification in the lower right corner of the screen.

Insert the driver disc that came with the device into your computer's drive. Reconnect the camera and wait until the required software package is unpacked. After completing the operation and a notification about the successful installation of the driver appears, restart the computer to save the changes.

After restarting the system, open the utility for working with the image broadcast from the camera. It should appear immediately after installing the required driver. Each camera model may have its own version of the utility for managing video parameters. You can find the shortcut to launch the application on the desktop or in the Start menu.
Step 5
Go to the program settings section and use the appropriate options to adjust the most appropriate image parameters. Adjust the brightness and contrast of the picture according to the lighting conditions in the room you are in. Save the changes and close the program window.

Run the utility with which you are going to make a video call. Go to the settings section of the program and check the image broadcast from the camera. If you think that it is necessary to slightly adjust the picture, do it using the sliders for adjusting the contrast and brightness. The camera setup is complete and you can start using it.
