Instructions

Step 1

Fully charge the battery with the standard power supply, and then disconnect the charger from the laptop. If you forget to do this and try to calibrate the battery while the adapter is connected, the protection will turn on, and you will see an inscription in English saying that calibration is not possible and the system needs to be rebooted.

Step 2

Calibrate the battery using the BIOS Setup program. It is a basic I / O system that is stored on a chip in the ROM of a computer. Every time the power is turned on after the self-test procedure, a prompt message appears on the laptop screen in most cases, allowing you to enter BIOS Setup. In the most common cases, it looks like this: "Press DEL to enter SETUP". This means that you have to press the DEL button.

Step 3

If your laptop does not prompt you to enter BIOS Setup, restart your computer while carefully observing the Num Lock, Caps Lock, and Scroll Lock indicators. When they blink when you turn on the laptop, quickly press DEL 10-15 times within 10 seconds.

Step 4

If pressing the DEL button does not help to enter the BIOS, try the less common keys and their combinations in sequence. Separate keys: F1, F2, F10, Esc. Keyboard shortcuts: Ctrl + Alt + Esc, Ctrl + Alt + Ins, or Ctrl + Alt. Perform all actions in the same way as described in paragraph N3.

Step 5

Once you enter BIOS Setup, find the Boot tab and then Smart Battery Calibration. This function is responsible for automatic battery calibration. After starting this function, the system will ask you to confirm the start of the calibration by clicking on "Yes" or to refuse in time by clicking on "No". The battery calibration process will be visually accompanied by the filling of a special scale or indication as a percentage of the completed process.

Step 6

When the battery is calibrated, press Esc to exit Smart Battery Calibration.
