If by the nature of your work you have to work on several computers, then constantly editing the settings of certain programs can take up a significant part of your time. To facilitate the transfer of program settings, there is such a thing as synchronization. Synchronization connects to most popular programs today. The purpose of synchronization is to quickly save and load settings. Perhaps the most famous complex with a synchronization system is Google.
Necessary
Google account, Google Chrome software
Instructions
Step 1
Signing up with Google gives you access to a variety of applications. This is not only mail, but also a calendar, bookmarks, answers to questions, a search engine, a webmaster panel, etc. If you are using the Google Chrome browser, transferring settings from one computer to another, i.e. synchronization can be done in a few steps. System administrators use sync to provide the same browser settings.
Step 2
Open the Google Chrome browser. Click on the wrench icon in the upper right corner of your browser. In the context menu that opens, select the "Parameters" item.
Step 3
In the window that opens, select the "Personal Materials" tab. The first item in this window will be the "Synchronization" section. To configure synchronization, click the button of the same name.
Step 4
In the new dialog, sign in to your Google account. In the window that opens, select the synchronization items. The best choice is to click the Sync All button. This parameter includes:
- extensions (add-ons) of the Google Chrome browser;
- automatic filling of data;
- bookmarks on site pages;
- logins and passwords;
- all settings and themes.
Step 5
After clicking on the "OK" button, you must specify a passphrase that will always be used in the next synchronization. In the same window, you can delete synchronization if it is no longer used or several users will use the browser.
Step 6
When installing the Google Chrome browser, you need to go to the sync window, click the sync button, enter the passphrase and use the configured browser.
