Step 1
If you don't already have the iTunes multimedia application, install it on your computer. This free program can be found on the official apple.com website. All Apple devices can be connected to sync with iTunes via a USB cable or wirelessly via Wi-Fi.

Open iTunes. Connect your iPod to your computer using the cable supplied with this unit. Find the Device button in the upper right corner of the iTunes screen and click on it. In the list that appears, select the line iPod. If the application has opened in the iTunes Store section, return to the main page using the "Library" button located in the upper right corner of the screen.

Click on the "Apply" button in the lower right corner of the iTunes screen. The synchronization process is activated. When it finishes, disconnect your iPod from your computer.
Step 4
Syncing iPod and iTunes over a Wi-Fi connection requires some changes to the app settings. Launch iTunes. Connect iPod to computer using USB cable. In iTunes, click the Device tab and select your iPod. Then click on the "Browse" button. In the menu that appears, find the line "Sync this iPhone via Wi-Fi" and put a checkmark next to it.
Step 5
Now, if your iPod and computer are connected to a Wi-Fi network at the same time, the device should appear in iTunes and you can start syncing. When the iPod appears in the left column of the iTunes screen, select the Content tab and adjust the sync options. Click on "Apply".
Step 6
Synchronization via Wi-Fi is automatic if several conditions are met. The Apple device needs to be plugged into a power outlet. ITunes must be activated. In addition, the computer and iPod must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
