Drive D and how to create it
Each PC has a local drive "C" as well as additional drives, and the number depends on the specifications of the device. The files located in them are system files and will not be saved upon reboot. In the best case, after installing Windows 10 from the seventh version, the "Deleted applications" file will be located on the desktop. The names of previously available programs will be available here, and some will even have sources indicated, that is, they can be downloaded again. Photos, videos and other files will be deleted.
Drive "D" will store all the photos and videos you need, and it's easy to create it.
- First, you need to press the Wir + R keys and enter the command in the window that appears in the lower left corner
- Next, at the bottom of the window, find the disk partition corresponding to the "C" drive.

Then you need to right-click on it and select "Shrink Volume" from the context menu.

Next, a window will appear in which you need to specify the size of the future disk "D". By default, the maximum available number is displayed, but to optimize the PC, it is best to mark the most optimal one so that the device does not slow down during operation.

After the compression is complete, you can see the new space in the lower right corner labeled “Not Allocated”. It is required to click on it with the right mouse button and select the first item called "Create a simple volume".

The system will most often suggest to name the free disk as "D". In general, it can be called whatever you like.

Downloading larger files requires a monthly fee.
