Step 1
When it was required to find the mask of the very initial node, there were no problems. But now, when several subnets go from one root, it has become very difficult to find the one you need. In fact, if you want to determine an address, then you need to thoroughly study the branching paths, consisting of three parts (parts A, B and C). This requires additional bits belonging to the host part. That is, one network can be divided into at least two subnets. The first thing you should do is write down your IP address in binary.
Step 2
In order not to search for the IP address manually, go to the website https://2ip.ru/. There, the name of your computer, its operating system, the browser with which you entered the page, and your provider will be automatically generated. In the upper left corner you will see the inscription "Your IP-address". Rewrite it on a piece of paper. Then, to write it in binary form, do the following: mark the related bits for the network- and subnet-part with ones, and for the host-part - with zeros. Thus, you will receive a certain sequence of numbers, which will be the address of your subnet.
Step 3
There is an alternative way. To find the subnet address, go to the "Control Panel" of your computer. Then go to the "Network Connections" menu. You will see a list of connections, among them find "Internet Protocol (TCP / IP)" and open the settings. Next, you will need to go to the "Properties" section. There the subnet address called "Mask" will be described.
Step 4
On the site that was listed in step 2, you can also find the subnet address. After the phrase "Your IP-address" there is a section "History" in small letters. Click it after you revisit this resource. The chronicle will contain all the masks of your main address. Select the subnet you need from the indicated ones.
