A flash drive is a very convenient and compact storage medium. A huge selection of designs in shape and color is able to satisfy the needs of everyone. But you can make a flash drive body with your own hands.
Necessary
- - two Lego bricks 4x2
- - two Lego bricks 2x2
- - lego plates 6x1 and 6x2
- - knife
- - pliers
- - Super glue
- - a flash drive without a case
- - sandpaper
- - polish
Instructions
Step 1
Collect the box for the USB stick. To do this, cut the Lego set in half, one brick at a time (4x2 and 2x2), using a knife. Use pliers to remove excess internal parts. For the other two cubes (4x2 and 2x2), remove the inner pieces. Next, glue all the resulting 4 pieces with super glue to make a box.
Step 2
Place a USB flash drive without a case in the resulting box. Cut an extra hole for the connector. Place the USB stick in the resulting box and fill it with silicone to fix it. Wait until the silicone hardens. Add or remove excess silicone as needed.
Step 3
Pour the plastic crumbs from the removed inner parts onto the bottom of the box so that the flash drive lies flat when you fill it with silicone. Use only pure silicone that is not conductive to electrical current. Only use a disassembled flash drive of a suitable size.
Step 4
Cover the resulting box (6x2 and 6x1) with lego plates. Use pliers if necessary. Sand with sandpaper. Apply polish and polish. Use the new flash drive as directed.
