Both karaoke lovers and novice musicians, dancers, DJs and hosts of various events often need instrumental arrangements of popular songs without words - in other words, backing tracks or phonograms. Ordering a backing track in the studio is quite expensive for most people, and therefore they use more affordable ways to create a backing track using computer programs.
Instructions
Step 1
The easiest way is to use Adobe Audition to extract a voice from an instrumental part. The main function you need is Center Channel Extractor. Create several copies of the original track, which you need to turn into a phonogram, and load them in the program one by one.
Step 2
Start by editing the original track by double clicking on it. Select the wave of the track and go to the Effects tab. Select the Filters section and specify the above function - Center Channel Extractor. You can specify "Karaoke" as a preset.
Step 3
In the settings for the center channel extraction, adjust the volume of this channel in the Central Channel Level section, and in the Discrimination settings section, specify the channel cut width by moving the special sliders.
Step 4
To preview, click the preview button. When you're satisfied, click OK.
Step 5
Then, on the rest of the copies of the track, you can edit the mid, high and low frequencies in the same way.
Step 6
Change the positions of the controls in the settings, and do not forget to press the preview button to hear what you have done.
Step 7
Try to ensure that the vocal part disappears completely from the track without affecting the frequency characteristics of the instrumental part. After you are satisfied with the result, combine all the tracks into a multitrack and save the track in MP3 format.
