Not all Adobe Photoshop users realize that they have a great opportunity to facilitate their work on processing photos and creating certain effects, thanks to a convenient tool of actions, or Actions. The applied action, selected from the list, will automatically process your photo in accordance with the commands laid down in it. The wide variety of Actions macros allow you to create interesting and unusual effects in a matter of seconds, as well as quickly apply the same effect to an entire batch of images.

Instructions

Step 1

You can download a huge number of different Actions-palettes from the Internet, complementing the standard set of macros included in Photoshop during installation.

Step 2

If the Actions palette is not displayed in the program window, open the Window menu and check the box next to the Actions item. A panel will open with a small arrow in the corner of the window.

Step 3

Click on the arrow to open the panel menu - you will see a list of already loaded macros and actions.

Step 4

Among them is the Frames macro, with which you can automatically create frames on images; Macro Image effects, which contains basic simple techniques for processing and decorating images; the Production macro, which contains frequently used commands for saving, resizing, and the like; there is also a macro for text effects and texture creation. These macros may not be enough if you are seriously interested in creative and professional work in Photoshop, but they can get you started with the Actions panel.

Step 5

Clicking on any macro will open it in the active action bar. By expanding the macro by clicking the arrow, you can see what actions it contains.

Step 6

To launch Action, click the Play button at the bottom of the panel. To undo unwanted changes, go to the History panel and simply delete the last actions.
