As you install programs and work with various files, your computer loses its former performance. However, its performance can always be significantly increased by performing some actions using standard and third-party software.
Instructions
Step 1
A decrease in the performance of a personal computer can be caused by a large number of programs running in the background. These programs are loaded automatically, and in most cases they are "wasted". To increase the performance of your computer, exclude these programs from the startup list. To do this, go to the "Startup" directory and remove from it shortcuts to programs that, in your opinion, slow down your computer.
Step 2
You can also increase the performance of your PC by deleting unnecessary files that are stored in various places on your hard disk. The first step is to clean the basket. Right-click on its icon and select the "Empty Trash" command in the context menu. Also, delete all files from the Temp folder located at c: // windows / temp. A more complete cleaning of hard drives from unnecessary files can be done using the standard "Disk Cleanup" tool.
Step 3
You can also increase the performance of your computer by defragmenting your hard drives. During defragmentation, files are organized into clusters on the hard disk, which significantly reduces the access time. To start defragmentation, click "Start" - "All Programs" - "Accessories" - "System Tools" - "Defragmentation". Do not run any programs during the defragmentation process. The duration of this process depends on the fragmentation of files, their size, the number and volume of the hard disk.
Step 4
To speed up the performance of your computer, there are also special programs called optimizers. Their main function is to clean the computer's system registry and memory from unnecessary files and other "garbage". One such program is CCleaner, which is free. You can download it by the link
