In the event of an operating system failure, it can be recovered fairly quickly. In this situation, it is very important to take care of the creation of the Windows image and its reasonable placement and storage in advance.

Instructions
Step 1
First, create an image of the Windows operating system. This should be done immediately after you have installed all the necessary drivers, programs, and additional applications. Remember that the restored OS will be exactly in the state in which it was at the time of the image creation. Open the Control Panel menu. Go to System and Security.
Step 2
Now open the menu "Backup and Restore" and open the item "Create a system image". Wait while the operating system determines the possible storage locations for the future Windows image. In the window that opens, select "Network location".
Step 3
Now click the Browse button. Double click on the "Network" icon. Click once on the computer on which you want to save the operating system image. Specify the required folder for storing the future archive.
Step 4
Now enter the username and password that will be required to access the system image. Click the "Ok" button. In the newly opened "Create a system image" menu, click the "Next" button. Specify local drives to be included in the archive. For Windows Seven and Vista, these must be the system and boot disks.
Step 5
Now click the "Next" button and check the correctness of the specified parameters. If you have correctly specified the storage location and the required sections, then click the "Archive" button.
Step 6
Go back to the Backup and Restore menu and open Create System Restore Disc. Select the drive where the blank disc is located and click the Create Disc button.
Step 7
If the operating system fails, insert this disc into the drive and start it by pressing the F8 key when the computer starts booting. In the menu that appears, select the "Restore system from image" option. Specify the storage location for this file. In this case, it will be another computer located on the same local network as your PC.
