If you have installed the English version of the operating system, but do not know the native language of the developers, do not be discouraged ahead of time, you can still fix everything. The system comes standard with support for a wide range of languages. If you do not understand the settings of the operating system or simply do not know how and what to do to give the system a familiar Russian interface, use the tips listed in this article.

Step 1
For the Windows 1998 operating system, do the following:
- click the Start button;
- in the menu that opens, select the Settings item;
- select the Control Panel item;
- double click on the Keyboard icon;
- in the window that opens, select the Language tab;
- press the Add button, select the Russian item in the menu, then press OK.
- select the item Left Alt + Shift, then click OK.
Step 2
For the Windows 2000 operating system, do the following:
- click the Start button;
- in the menu that opens, select the Settings item;
- select the Control Panel item;
- double click on the Keyboard icon;
- in the window that opens, select the Input Location tab;
- press the Add button, select the Russian item in the menu, then press OK.
- at the bottom of the window, in the Switch between input locates block, select Left Alt + Shift, then click OK.
Step 3
For the Windows XP operating system, you need to do the following:
- click the Start button;
- in the menu that opens, select the Settings item;
- select the Control Panel item;
- double click on the Regional and Language Options icon;
- in the window that opens, select the Languages tab;
- click the Details button;
- click the Keyboard layout / IME menu, then select Russian, click OK;
- click the Key Setting button, in the window that opens, click the Actions menu, select the Switch between input language item, then Left Alt + Shift, then click OK.
Step 4
Despite the different language, you can print in Russian layout.
