For many people, computer games are no less exciting pastime than, for example, walking outside the city in nature. And in the same way, there is a desire to preserve the most curious moments of the games for memory and share them with friends of this hobby. This can be done in several relatively simple ways.

Instructions

Step 1

Use the key or keyboard shortcut that is assigned to the function of saving a screenshot in the game itself - most of them have this option. You can find out which key is responsible for this function in the settings list. The entrance to it is usually placed in the main menu of the game, and in some cases an information window with a list of hotkeys is called by pressing the F1 function button. Many games allow you to change the assigned hotkey image save function. For example, in the Unreal Tournament game, by default, the F9 key is assigned to this function, and by selecting the Settings section in the main menu and going to the Inputs tab, you can click on the Configure Controls button and set the most convenient button for calling this operation in the Screenshot line.

Step 2

Press the Print Screen button on the keyboard if you want to use the capabilities of the operating system installed on your computer instead of the game's own functions. This key, as a rule, is located to the right of the group of function buttons and can be abbreviated as PrScn. On some laptop computers (notebooks, laptops, netbooks), this key works only in combination with the Fn button. By pressing it, the OS places a copy of the image on the screen in the clipboard, from where it must then be extracted and saved to a file in a graphic format. You don't have to end the game to do this - pause the game and press alt="Image" and Tab. In this way, you will return from the game to the operating system, where you need to launch a graphics editor (for example, Paint). Having done this, paste the picture contained in the clipboard by pressing the Ctrl + V keys. Then use the Ctrl + S shortcut to save the image to a file.

Step 3

Install an additional program, which is designed specifically for saving screenshots in games, if both of the above methods for some reason do not work. These can be, for example, applications FRAPS, SnapDX, etc. After installing and configuring such a program, you can save screenshots in games by pressing the hotkey set in it.
