Many motherboards that support Intel processors also include integrated graphics cards made by the company. When you install Intel drivers, the integrated video adapter also automatically installs the Intel Graphics Media displayed in the Control Panel. This utility includes gamma, brightness and other controls. The application uses significant resources of the processor and memory, while it is not required for the video adapter to work. Disabling the Control Panel that starts when Windows opens can free up significant resources for use in other applications.
Instructions
Step 1
Press the keyboard shortcut "Ctrl-Alt-Delete". Select "Task Manager" in the window that appears. Click on the "Processes" tab if it is not active.
Step 2
Scroll down to the background entry in the Processes section "Igfxpsers.exe". Click the End Task button to stop the Intel Graphics Control Panel and close the application.
Step 3
Click on the "Start" tab in the "Task Manager" window.
Step 4
Highlight "Intel Graphics Media Control Panel". Click Disable.
Step 5
Close the Task Manager window. Reboot your computer.
