There are situations in life that require special attention, or even a banal check. And if there are suspicions of unauthorized access to a personal computer, it is better to be able to check them. It is very easy to find out which files were opened in your absence.

Step 1
Information must be reliably protected. This must be taken care of in advance. If several people have access to the computer, do not be lazy to create a separate account for yourself with a strong password. But if all of a sudden there are suspicions that someone else has looked into the computer, you need to be able to check and track it. Finding out which files were opened last is easy enough.
Step 2
The easiest way to find out which files were opened is within the power of everyone. Open the "Start" menu - in the right column with standard settings, all items that have opened on the computer in the last few days are displayed. If this section is missing, configure the display. To do this, go to the control panel, select the "Screen Design" section, the "Taskbar and Start Menu" subsection, then "Start Menu Customization". In the window that opens, click the "Start Menu" tab and put a tick in the "Store and display the list of recently opened items" checkbox.
Step 3
Another way to find out which files were opened on the computer is to sort them by modification date. To do this, go to the "My Computer" menu and set the advanced search parameters: "Search - Set parameters - Sort by modification date" and then select the day of interest. After the completion of data processing, a list of all files and folders that have been opened during the specified period of time will be displayed on the screen.
It should be remembered that in this case only files that were opened and then saved again will be shown. If, for example, an attacker simply copied information to an external medium, the search will not show this.
