As a device for playing sound on a computer, you can use not only computer speakers specially purchased for this purpose. In principle, any audio system will do, including speakers from a music center.
Instructions
Step 1
Prepare an appropriate cord for connection. If your music center has an audio input interface (often called Aux) with cinch jacks, you will need a cord with two of these plugs on one end and a mini-jack on the other. If you will be connecting through the microphone input, you will need a cable with mini-jack plugs on both ends. Some models of stereos can use a jack-type jack for a microphone input.
Step 2
Insert one end of the wire into the corresponding connector on the music center. Connect the other end to your computer's sound card. In this case, select Out as the connector for the sound output. As a rule, it is indicated in green on the sound card.
Step 3
Switch on the appropriate operating mode on the music center. If you are using Aux, activate this mode by pressing the button of the same name on the music center. For the operation of the microphone connector, as a rule, the activation of special operating modes is not required, however, some models of musical centers support the amplification of the signal input through this connector.
Step 4
Set up your sound card to work. Select "Start" - "Control Panel" - "Sound" in your computer. Open the "Playback" subsection and check the sound card settings. If everything is normal, you will see a green check mark next to the image of the corresponding device.
Step 5
It remains to check the performance of the connection. Adjust the volume on the music center, and play an audio file on your computer. If you have connected everything properly, you will hear the sound from the music speakers. Otherwise, check again that all steps have been correctly followed, as well as that the cords are securely connected, including those connecting the speakers to the music center.
