The format of virtual disk images today is very often found on the Internet, for example, DVD movies or video games downloaded from the Internet. It is a complete copy of the disk from which it was created. In order to access it, you just need to emulate it.

- - Daemon Tools Lite program.
Instructions
Step 1
There are quite a few programs for working with disk images. The most popular are Daemon Tools and Alcohol. As an example for emulating disk images, we will take the Daemon Tools Lite program, which is a completely free licensed version of Daemon Tools, but with reduced functionality. But, nevertheless, its functions are quite enough for basic work with disk images and their emulation.
Step 2
Download the program from the Internet. When installing it, be sure to check the "Free license" item. When the program is installed, a dialog box should appear asking you to reboot the system. In this window, select "Restart computer now". Launch Daemon Tools Lite. After the first launch, it will automatically create a virtual drive. Then you will be taken to the main menu of the program.
Step 3
In the main menu, click on the disk icon next to which the plus sign will be displayed. The browse menu will open. Specify the path to the disk image and click on it with the left mouse button. Then click "Open" at the bottom of the window. Now the selected disk image will be available in the main menu of the program.
Step 4
Click on the image with the right mouse button. After that, select "Mount" in the context menu, then - the virtual drive (by default there will be only one), on which the selected disk image will be emulated. After a few seconds, the emulation will be complete. By default, disk autorun will work. If autorun has not happened, then you can open the disc by going to "My Computer". These discs must be opened in exactly the same way as regular discs.
Step 5
You can add as many disk images as you like to the main program window and change them in fast mode. In order to emulate another image, it is not necessary to unmount the current one. Just select the image you want from the list and mount it. The previous image will be unmounted automatically.
