The database is designed to store information. For this, tables are created in which everything is grouped by items. The database helps you create reports, store information, and most importantly create spreadsheets. At this point in time, users of personal computers often have questions that are related to the creation of databases.
It is necessary
Personal computer, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access
Instructions
Step 1
In order to create a database, you will need a special office program Access. Launch it from the "Start" panel.
Step 2
Create a new document. To do this, on the "Toolbar" select "New Database". Give it a name and save it. Then you can directly start creating the table itself. For Tables, select Create Table Using Design Mode. You can also take another mode: "Create a table using the wizard" or "Create a table by entering data".
Step 3
You will see a table. It will consist of several fields, for example, "Field name", "Data type", "Description". Fill in according to your requirements and save. You can move from one cell to another using the "Tab" key. The width of the columns is adjusted by dragging the borders.
Step 4
You can create a cross-table link. This is done in a special window "Data Scheme". Click on the "Toolbar" item "Service", then the column "Data Scheme". There will be a "Add Table" dialog box. Click on "Add" and find the name of your table. Press the "Shift" key and select several fields that you need. Then drag them onto the list and release them. The Edit Links window should open. Select the fields you need.
Step 5
A spreadsheet database is also created in Microsoft Excel. To get started, run this program. Click Start. Find "Programs" and select Microsoft Excel. Quite often, tables are stored in a workbook. To create it, go to "File" and "Create". Double-click on the worksheet shortcut. This will give the document a name. Click "File" and select "Save As". In the current cells, enter titles and data. When the database is ready, save the document. In order for a cell to become current, you need to double-click on it with the mouse. Each column in the table should have its own name.
