Adobe Photoshop is perhaps the most popular raster graphics editor both among professionals and amateurs today. One of the most commonly used tools in this editor is called brushes. Like most other tools, the basic set of brushes can be expanded by adding a new set to the palette from a file saved to your computer.
Prepare the file with new brushes for installation. Most likely, it is packed into an archive if it was downloaded from the Internet. Such archives often contain various additional files that are not required to install the collection: pictures with samples of brush prints, accompanying text, shortcuts to links to sites, etc. The file you need must have the abr extension. Extract it and remember the save location, or rather immediately place it in your own brushes folder of the graphic editor. By default, Photoshop is installed in the Adobe folder, which is located in the Program Files directory on your system drive. The folder of the editor is called Adobe Photoshop, and the folder of brushes is Brushes, and it is placed in the Presets directory. When you are finished with the location of the file, proceed to the installation of the set of brushes it contains into the graphics editor. This procedure can be squeezed into just one double-click: double-click the left button on the abr file. At the same time, it is not even necessary that Photoshop was open at this moment, the system itself will determine which of the installed programs this extension is assigned to, launch the graphic editor and transfer the file with the collection of brushes to it. The program will add a new set to the brushes palette, and you will have to first select the brush tool, and then the desired option from the table. You can install brushes from a saved file and using the appropriate item in the editor menu. To do this, launch it, press the F5 function key, go to the "Brush Sets" tab on the panel that opens and click the rightmost icon in the panel header. A context menu will open, in which you need to select the "Load brushes" item. In the dialog that opens, find the required abr-file and click on the "Download" button. This completes the procedure.
