You can find a large number of brushes for the Adobe Photoshop application on the Internet. They help save time and significantly expand the boundaries of creativity. It is sometimes difficult for beginners to figure out where to save these brushes and how to load them into the program.
Photoshop brush files have the.abr extension. If you downloaded more than one brush, but an entire collection, first make sure that all the files in it are in the correct format. If the brushes are packed in a ZIP or RAR archive, it must be unpacked. By default, subfolders are created in the program directory for additional materials, including brushes downloaded or created by the user. The new collection can be placed in such a subfolder. Open for viewing the hard drive on which the application is installed, in the Adobe folder, find the Presets subfolder - this is what is used for additional content. The Brushes folder is dedicated to the brushes. It is not necessary to save the brushes in the designated directory. If there is not enough disk space with Adobe Photoshop, you can place them on any other. The main thing is to specify the correct path to the brushes in the graphics editor itself. To load a brush, launch the application and select the Brush tool (hotkey B). On the toolbar, expand the Brush context menu using the arrow buttons and call the Manage Sets item or the Load Brushes command. Alternative option: in the top menu bar, find the item "Editing" and the sub-item "Manage Sets". In the dialog box that opens, click on the "Load" button and specify the path to the folder where your brushes are stored. The editor remembers the last selected directory, so the next time you load brushes, the folder you specified will open automatically. It is not necessary to load all available brushes into the editor, with a lot of Photoshop content it takes longer. If you don't plan on using a brush on a regular basis, remove it when you're done. To do this, select Manage Sets from the Brush tool menu again. Select the unnecessary brush with the left mouse button and click on the "Delete" button. In this case, it will disappear only from the set used, and not from the folder where its file is stored.
