It is necessary

  • - Computer with Windows OS;
  • - CD with software for the webcam;
  • - Webcam.

Instructions

Step 1

Connect your webcam to your computer using the USB interface. After that, the system will automatically detect the device and install the system drivers. After installing the system drivers, restart your computer.

Step 2

The second step is to install the webcam software. The software disc must be included with the webcam. If for some reason you do not have software, you can download it on the manufacturer's website. Install the software on your computer. If even on the manufacturer's website you could not find the software, download, for example, the Skype program and install it on your computer. It will replace native software.

Step 3

Now it's worth making sure that the microphone itself is turned on in the system. To do this, right-click on the speaker icon, which is located on the taskbar of the desktop on the right side. From the menu, select Open Volume Mixer. Next, in the window that appears, see if the microphone is turned on. To turn on the microphone in Windows 7, you just need to drag the volume slider up. In Windows XP, uncheck the box and drag the slider up.

Step 4

If you are using your webcam software, then in the menu, simply look for “Sound settings”. This menu should contain all the sound parameters, including its volume. In the case of Skype, you need to look for sound settings, depending on its version. Usually you need to select "Settings", then go to the sound settings. The Sound Settings window appears. If one microphone is connected to the computer, then nothing needs to be changed. Just find the volume scale in the window. Now drag the slider to the desired position to adjust the sound.
