Typically, text editors are used to print documents. They allow you to set the desired font sizes, but sometimes these sizes do not match what is obtained on a paper copy of the document. There may be several reasons for the discrepancy, and the ways to eliminate some of them are described below in relation to the word processor Microsoft Office Word - this application is most often used to work with texts.
Instructions
Step 1
Start a word processor and load the document you want to print into it. Please note - the size of the font that you see on the screen will correspond to what will be obtained when printing only if the display scale in the program window is set to 100%. The zoom control has been placed in the lower-right corner of the window - this is the slider you drag to adjust the magnification. You can do this by rotating the mouse wheel while holding down the ctrl key. After this is done, you can start adjusting the font sizes.
Step 2
Select the section of text whose letters you want to enlarge. If this needs to be done in the entire document, then you can select it by pressing the ctrl + a keyboard shortcut. Then click on the selected area with the right mouse button and in the pop-up panel, click on the icon with the letter A and an arrow pointing up. This will increase the size of the fonts used in the text. In the event that fonts of different sizes are used in the selected text fragment, it is better to use this button, and not set the numerical value of the point size.
Step 3
Press the key combination ctrl + p to open the dialog for sending the document to print. Make sure Current is selected in the drop-down list next to Fit to Page, and then click the Properties button. This will open a window whose content depends on the printer driver used. This window should also contain settings for printing scaling - make sure that the "Output size" and "Manual scale" fields are not set to values that reduce the size of the text. After making sure that all print scaling settings match 100% of the original document, send it to the printer.
