There are many ways to enlarge the font on a computer screen. The choice of the method will depend on your operating system, as well as on whether you want to increase the font of a particular program or all the windows of the computer that are launched.
Instructions
Step 1
Use a magnifier to enlarge the font of specific areas of the screen. To do this, click on the "Start" button on the taskbar, in the main menu that opens, go to "Programs", then "Standard" and the submenu "Accessibility" - "Magnifier". At the top of the screen, a program window will appear, which will show in an enlarged version a part of the screen near the mouse pointer. Move the mouse near the desired area of the text to make a larger font for it.
Step 2
Increase the font size on the screen for all windows of the Windows XP operating system. To do this, right-click on an empty space on the desktop. Select the "Properties" item from the appeared context menu. In the screen settings window that opens, go to the "Appearance" tab, at the bottom of this window open the list next to the font size text. There are three options to choose from: regular, large, huge. Select the option that suits you, click on the "Apply" button.
Step 3
To change the font sizes in individual elements of the Windows window, go to the "Appearance" tab of the display properties, click the "Advanced" button. Click on the window element for which you want to change the font on the screen, the formatting settings for this element will appear at the bottom. Select the font size you want. Using this method, you can manually adjust the font sizes you need on the screen.
Step 4
Increase the font on the screen in Windows 7. Click on the "Start" button, select the "Control Panel" option, then select the "Appearance and Personalization" submenu, then the "Personalization" item.
Step 5
On the left side of the window, select the Change Font Size command. To change these settings, you will need to enter an administrator password. To increase the font size, click on the "Large scale" button (150%), then click "OK". To use this scale, the monitor must support a resolution of at least 1200 x 900 pixels.
