The size of the point on the monitor, in other words, the font size, can be increased if you have poor eyesight and have to sit too close in front of the monitor screen or peer at the outline of the letters. To keep your eyes from getting tired, you need to increase the font size.

Step 1
You can increase the font size on the screen in this way in versions of Windows starting from releases after 2005: Microsoft Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008 and Windows 7. So, to increase the size of the system font, you need to adjust its "percentage" in Windows personalization. To do this, right-click on the desktop and select the last item "Personalization" in the context menu. In the window that appears, click on the "Screen" link located in the left column. The Screen Reading Ease window opens. Set the indicator "Average - 125%" and click the "Apply" button. You will see a warning window. It will inform you that you need to log out for the parameters to take effect. To do this, click "Sign out now" and re-enter Windows under your account. The system font will be increased by 1/4.
Step 2
On the left side of the column, opposite the percentage of the font size, you may also notice the link "Other font size (Dots per inch)". Click on the link to set any percentage of the size from 100% to 200% in 1% increments.

By using the method of changing the percentage point size of a font, you only enlarge the font itself, not the Windows elements. To resize all elements - fonts, shortcuts, panels, etc., you need to change the screen resolution. To do this, in the same place, in the "Display" settings, click on the link "Configure display settings". You will move to the "Screen resolution" window. You will see a drop-down list with a slider, by moving which you will change the screen resolution. The resolution marked with the word "Recommended" is the maximum. When selected, all fonts and Windows elements will be as small as possible. The lowest resolution, usually 800x600, increases the virtual pixel size, and therefore the font size on the screen.
