Opera, like almost all modern browsers, has functions for saving and managing passwords entered by the user in the authorization forms on various Internet resources. In addition, Opera has the ability to set a password for using the browser itself, which the browser can request both at startup and regularly at specified intervals. Both types of passwords can be changed if necessary.
Instructions
Step 1
If you need to change the password stored by the password manager, there are two ways to do it. The first is to remove unnecessary password from the browser database through the password control panel. To get into it, open the Opera menu, go to the "Settings" section and select the "Delete personal data" command. Click on the inscription "Detailed settings", and in the expanded additional section, click the button "Password management".
Step 2
Find the required domain in the list (you can use the search field) and click on the found line. The line will have a substring in which the password will not be specified, but the corresponding login will be written - select this line and click the "Delete" button.
Step 3
Click the Close button in the Password Control Panel, and then the Cancel button in the Privacy Control Panel. After that, go to the authorization page and enter the new data (login and password) that Opera will offer you to save to the password database after sending the data to the server - click the "Save" button.
Step 4
The second method allows you to do everything directly on the page with the authorization form - fill it in with new data (login and password) and send it to the server. Then leave the password-protected area using the "Log out" link and return to the page with the authorization form again.
Step 5
Press the key combination alt="Image" + enter and the browser will show a list of the two logins saved for this form - select the old one and press the "Delete" button. This completes the procedure.
Step 6
If you need to change the password that prevents the use of the Opera browser itself, then open the menu and select "General settings" in the "Settings" section. You can just press the key combination ctrl + f12.
Step 7
Go to the "Advanced" tab, select the "Security" line in the list on the left and click the "Set Password" button. In the window that opens, enter the current password in the upper field, and the new one in the other two. Then click the OK buttons in the password assignment window and in the browser settings window.
