Installing the necessary programs on a computer, as a rule, requires you to simply run the installer file and follow its instructions. When there are so many programs that the problem of free space on the hard disk becomes urgent, then you have to take care of cleaning your computer from unnecessary applications. The operation of uninstalling programs is also not very difficult and can be done in several ways.
Instructions
Step 1
Use a program specifically designed to uninstall a specific application. It is called an uninstaller, and in most cases it is installed automatically along with the application itself. You can find a link to launch the uninstaller in the same folder in the main menu of the operating system, where the link to launch the main application is located. Usually, this item in the menu begins with the word "Uninstall …" or Uninstall … After starting the uninstaller, follow the instructions that it will display on the screen during operation.
Step 2
Another option is to use a special OS component that centrally manages the uninstallers of all applications registered in the system registry. It is launched through the Control Panel, the link which can be found by clicking on the "Start" button in the main menu. Find the item "Uninstall a program" in the "Programs" section. If you are using Windows XP, then it should be called Add or Remove Programs. As a result, the required OS component will start and start collecting information about installed programs - this may take several tens of seconds.
Step 3
Wait until the list of applications is completed, and then find the line with the name of the program that you no longer need. Depending on the version of the installed operating system, to uninstall the program, you should either right-click the line and select "Uninstall", or click the button with this inscription in this line. Then the uninstaller will start working and you will have to follow its instructions.
Step 4
Some programs during installation do not make any entries in the system registry and do not have an uninstaller in the package. In this case, for uninstallation, it will be enough to delete the program folder from the hard disk. You can uninstall programs installed according to all the rules in this way, but in this case you need to have an application that, after uninstalling, will clear the system registry of entries related to this program - for example, Registry Booster.
