Windows Starter Differences
Windows 7 Starter is the most inexpensive Windows 7 base system with the lowest feature set compared to other distributions. Home Basic is more functional and is installed on computers of the lower and middle price segment. Windows 7 Starter usually runs on netbooks with limited functionality and hardware capabilities. The initial version of the system is heavily stripped down compared to other distributions.
One of the main limitations is the ability to use it on computers whose RAM does not exceed 2 GB. Also, functions such as customizing the personalization panel, setting your own background for the desktop have been removed from Starter. In Starter, the ability to create a homegroup, join domains, play DVDs remains unrealized. Removed Windows Media Center from the system, and removed support for 64-bit processors. Home Basic improvements

Extended Home Premium can be installed on machines with 16 GB of RAM, can create home groups, change themes. In addition to all the functions available in Home Basic, the system implements multi-touch support, which makes it possible to use computers with installed touch panels. Windows Media Center is also included in the system, as well as support for additional standard games such as Klondike and Spider.
However, the system cannot operate as a Windows XP emulator, does not support EPS data encryption, and cannot be used as a host to implement Remote Desktop technology, which is supported in the Professional, Enterprise and Ultimate editions.
