We often send photos to friends over the Internet. Unfortunately, they often weigh several megabytes each, and mailboxes are limited to either ten or twenty megabytes, depending on the rules of use. But this is not a problem - for viewing on a computer you do not need the full quality of the photo, a size that will fit the entire screen is enough. Therefore, a photo can always be compressed by reducing its size at times.
Instructions
Step 1
Use Paint to reduce the size of the photo and also to compress the format. Open the Paint program from the "Start" menu, then - in "Programs", then click on "Accessories" and select the Paint program. Click on the word "File" in the upper left corner of the program and open the photo you want to compress.
Step 2
Click on the "Edit" menu button and then click on "Resize". In the "Stretch" box, set the percentage that you want the image to take, taking its real size as one hundred percent. Then click on "Ok".
Step 3
Click on the "File" menu button, then - "Save As". Save the resulting image in a separate folder and open the next one.
Step 4
After you finish processing the images, save them all in the same folder. After finishing the processing of all photos, select them all with the left mouse button and click on the selected photos with the right button. Select the "Add to archive" menu and set the maximum compression parameters.
