Step 1
On your computer, open the router's configuration page. The computer or laptop must be connected to a wi-fi network, the password for which must be changed. If for some reason you cannot access the configuration page, then connect your computer to the router directly. The router has an address that can be seen on the bottom of the device. Most often, it will be one of the following: 192.168.1.1, 192.168.0.1, or 10.0.1.1. Enter this address into the address bar of your browser.

If none of the addresses is suitable, but it is not on the router, then you can go to the configuration window using the command line. Press the Win and R keys at the same time. Then enter the letters cmd. In the command line that opens, type ipconfig. Pressing the Enter button will take you to the list of active connections, among which you can see the gateway address, which will be the address of your router.
Step 3
Now you need to enter the login and password of the router. If you have not changed it before, then the login will be the word "admin". The password can be identical to the login, or it can be the word "password". You must enter your username and password without quotes. If in this way it was not possible to go to the settings, then you can reset the data to the factory settings, and then find the standard login and password for your device on the Internet.
Step 4
In the configuration window that opens, you need to find the "Wireless network" tab. The name can be written in English - "Wireless". In the window that opens, you need to find the "Wireless Security" tab.
Step 5
To change the password from wi-fi in the window that opens, you need to find the line "Passphrase" or "Password". Enter in the window the password that you want to set for your wi-fi network. Some devices require you to re-enter the new password.
Step 6
Click the Apply or Save button. After that, the new password for wi-fi will become active.
