As for the capacity of hard drives, at the moment you can find models with a volume of up to 4-5 Terabytes. Relatively old models of hard drives with ATA interface were produced in volumes of 20, 40 and 80. Sometimes you can find IDE hard drives with a volume of 140 GB. Most modern computers use SATA hard drives.

Another important characteristic of a hard drive is the transfer rate. Computer performance can directly depend on this indicator. Usually, this characteristic is associated with the speed of rotation of the spindles that read information, and the features of the methods for writing data.

There are currently three major hard drive manufacturers. These are Toshiba, Seagate and Western Digital. Despite the internal differences between hard drives, all these devices emit a certain amount of noise. You can reduce its level using the program method. Sometimes special rubber cushions are used to prevent vibration of the hard drive mounts.
