Voice processing is one of the final stages of recording a track. It includes removing noise, adjusting volume and adding effects. For each of these steps, there are special applications and plugins suitable for working in a particular sound editor.
Instructions
Step 1
Start by removing noise. Almost any denoiser program is suitable for this. Open a voice track in it, select an empty place (where there is no voice, but only background noise). Press the “Learn” button, after a few seconds press again to finish scanning. Use the Reduction and Threshold sliders to adjust the noises elsewhere in the song.
Step 2
Use the built-in tools of your favorite sound editor to adjust the volume balance: add and subtract bass, treble and mids for optimal sound. The voice should not be obscured by the accompaniment.
Step 3
Use dedicated plug-ins to add echo, reverb, distortion and other effects to suit the character and genre of the song. Constantly listen to the area being processed, compare what you want with what you received.
