When writing term papers, abstracts, diplomas and other scientific papers, it is often necessary to add various formulas to the Word text format. If a fraction can be written using a forward slash, then the integral cannot be inserted without additional options. And here you cannot do without knowledge of certain techniques.

Instructions
Step 1
If you have Word 2007 or newer installed, you can insert formulas in the following way. Place the cursor in the place of the document where this or that formula should be located in the text. Click on the tab called Insert.

On this tab, find the Symbols column. There is a Formula button, click on it with the mouse.
Step 3
The Formula Tools - Design tab appears on the taskbar. The document displays a window in which the required formula will be printed.
Step 4
On the Working with formulas - Design tab, select the required formula, for example, Radical, then Square root. A √ symbol appears in the displayed window, put the cursor in the dotted square and type the required value, for example √4.
Step 5
Then press Enter or place the cursor outside the boundaries of the formulas printing window. Mode of Working with formulas - the Constructor automatically stops, you switch to the Home tab. You can continue to type the text.
Step 6
If you have Word 2003 installed, then printing formulas will be performed in the following way. Open the Insert tab and select the item called Object. In the dialog box that opens, on the Create tab, find the object type Microsoft equation 3.0. Click OK. A window appears in which you can select certain signs for various formulas. Further, the process of writing formulas is identical to the above algorithm, starting from step 4.
