Often making certain changes in the operation of the computer, the user can no longer remember in which menu a particular function of the operating system is configured. Reverting the default keyboard layout is one such problem.
Instructions
Step 1
Turn on the computer, using the "Start" menu, open the "Control Panel". It is responsible for most of the settings for your operating system, and here you can also restore its original state.

Find the item "Regional and Language Options". Here you can not only change the settings for keyboard layouts, but also add or new languages, change the command keys to switch between them when entering text, and so on.

In the small window that appears with several tabs, select the second one - "Languages". Find the parameter settings button on it, click on it, and another window will appear on your screen. Adjust the keyboard according to your own preferences, apply the changes made, close all windows by clicking the "OK" button.
Step 4
If you want to change the settings for switching modes, click the "Advanced" button at the bottom of the list in the regional settings window on the language tab. In the window that opens, select which keyboard shortcut to change the layout is more convenient for you to use in your work. Apply and save your changes.
Step 5
If you want to return the additional display of language settings to the quick access panel, right-click on it and select the toolbar settings item. Select the item you want. Also here you can customize and display other additional elements of the operating system.
Step 6
If suddenly you are unable to return the display of the language bar, check your computer for viruses. If this does not help, perform a system restore from the point created at the moment when the keyboard layout was in the mode you need. To do this, use the list of installed programs using the Start menu. Open the standard utility utilities and restore the system to its previous state.
