The first and main reason for the slowdown in OS loading is the clogging of the Startup menu. A huge number of programs during the installation of their components activate the item "Automatically turn on when entering Windows". This leads to the fact that in addition to the main OS processes, from five to twenty programs are loaded. Many of them are used once a month, but they constantly take up system resources. Open the Start menu and go to the Run line.

Enter the msconfig command and press the Enter key. After opening a new window, go to the "Startup" tab. Uncheck the boxes for those programs that shouldn't start automatically. Click the "Apply" button and in the new window select the "Restart now" item

Most likely, you will immediately notice that your computer boots up faster. Start configuring your hard drive. Open the My Computer menu. Find the icon of the hard drive partition on which the operating system is installed. Click on it with the right mouse button and select "Properties".

After opening the settings menu, uncheck the "Allow file content indexing" option. Click the Apply button and close this menu.
