Most modern tablets are equipped with GPS modules that allow navigation using satellite service. To use this feature, you need to install a special application that will act as a map on your device.
Instructions
Step 1
If you are using a tablet running the Android operating system, install the required maps using the Play Market application store. To do this, click on the corresponding program shortcut in the device menu.
Step 2
The search for the desired navigation program can also be performed using the search icon in the upper right corner of the Play Market. Enter the query "Maps" or GPS, and in the list of results, examine the applications available for download. Popular applications are also Yandex. Maps and DublGIS.
Step 3
Having chosen the most optimal application for yourself, click on the "Install" button and wait until the installation of the program on the tablet is completed. After completing the procedure, you will see a notification in the upper left corner of the screen.
Step 4
Click on the shortcut of the created program and, when the corresponding message appears, allow access to your location.
Step 5
Wait for the program to determine your current location. This may take several minutes, depending on the speed of your internet connection. Installation of maps for the tablet is complete.
Step 6
If you are using an iPad, similar applications can be installed through it using the AppStore. Search for the desired program through the device menu, and then install it by clicking on the "Free" button in the program window. Also in the menu of the device there is already a preinstalled program "Maps", which has extensive functionality and is able to build almost any routes in your city.
