Often amateur photographers are saddened to discover that the beautiful landscape in the photograph turned out to be not so beautiful - the image is completely covered with some kind of colored spots. This is color noise, and it usually occurs when the picture is taken in low light.

Instructions

Step 1

Goodness should not be lost! You can try using Adobe Photoshop to remove this flaw. Open the photo. Duplicate the layer so as not to spoil the main image in the process: Ctrl + J.

Step 2

In the main menu, sequentially select the items Filter ("Filter"), Blur ("Blur"), Surface Blur ("Blur on the surface"). Check the box next to Preview to see the result of your actions. Moving the sliders, set the appropriate values for Radius ("Radius") and Threshold ("Threshold") in such a way as to remove noise as much as possible without blurring parts of the image. In the viewport, you can see how the view of the photo changes.

Step 3

Make the processed layer invisible by clicking on the eye image next to it. Duplicate the background layer again to try another remedy from the rich arsenal of filters. Choose from the main menu Filter, then Blur and Smart Blur ("Smart blur"). the Threshold filter allows you to customize the selective blur. More contrasting lines are retained, less contrasting lines are blurred. The lower the threshold, the more lines and contours remain unchanged.

Step 4

Again, remove the visibility of the processed layer. Copy the main layer with Ctrl + J. From the Filter menu, choose the Noise and Reduce Noise items. Filter Strenght ("Intensity") determines the strength of processing, Preserve Details ("Preservation of details") - the protection of small fragments from the effects of the filter. You can get rid of small defects by adjusting the slider of the Reduce Color Noise tool. To compensate for excessive blurring of details, use the Sharpen Details slider.

Step 5

For more subtle processing of the photo, check the Advanced mode in the line above the dialog box. Go to the Per Channel tab. Select channels from the list one by one and remove the Strenght and Preserve Details noise. Confirm the changes by clicking OK.
