A library is a software module designed to extend the standard capabilities of a program. Each specific library is needed to perform strictly designated automated design tasks or to create specific documentation. Instructions

Step 1

Use one of the following methods to connect the library to the Compass 3-D program. Run the application, go to the main menu and select the "Service" item. Then find the "Library Manager" sub-item. In the left part of the window that appears, select the item corresponding to the name of the library that you now want to connect.

Step 2

In the right part of the same window, call the context menu and select the "Universal Mechanism" command. After that click on the "Connect" button. Wait, it should take some time. After a red flag appears in front of the library, you can close the window, the library is connected. This method is suitable if the automatic library management system has not been called.

Step 3

Use the second method to link the library. Run the program. In the main menu, select "Tools", then "Library Manager". A window will appear. On the left side of it, select the library you are interested in. In the right part of the window, double-click on the same library. Some time should pass. This will display all the contents of the selected library. If all content is open and displayed without errors, then the selected library was connected successfully.

Step 4

Follow the steps below to connect the Photorealistic library. It will significantly expand the basic capabilities of the program, and will allow you to use it not only as a universal design tool, but also as a means of creating textures and advertising materials.

Step 5

To install the Photorealistic library, add its description. Then open the downloaded photoreal.msi archive. After that, you need to follow the instructions of the installation wizard. Specify the path to the library installation file. It should be called photoreal.rtw. The program will determine the installation location of the library data automatically.
