The library is a software module designed to expand the standard capabilities of the KOMPAS-3D program. Each library is guided by a specific CAD task that generates design documentation.

Instructions
Step 1
Connect the library to Compass in two ways. The first case is used when the library management system is not called on the screen. Start the Compass program, go to the main menu, select the "Service" item, from the menu, select the "Library Manager" item.
Step 2
In the left part of the window, click in the item corresponding to the library that you want to connect. In the right part of the window, to connect the library to the "Compass", open the context menu on it, select the "Universal Mechanism" command, then "Connect". Wait for the red flag to appear, this means that the library has been connected successfully.
Step 3
Use the second method to link the library to Compass. To do this, in the main menu of the program, select "Service", then "Library Manager". Go to the left side of the control system window, click the link library item, for example "Mechanical Engineering".
Step 4
In the right part of the window, double-click on the library, wait for it to be connected, its contents should open. If everything is open and the contents of this library are displayed on the screen, then the connection is complete.
Step 5
Connect the "Photorealistic" library to "Compass". This library is convenient for use in advertising activities, when visualizing products. It contains a significant selection of realistic materials and textures, and you can add custom shadow, light, background, and environmental elements to it. To install it, run the photoreal.msi archive, then follow the instructions of the installation wizard.
Step 6
After that, connect the library using the manager in the Compass program. First add a description of this library, then go to the view selection window and select the photoreal.rtw file. The path for connecting libraries to the program is C: / Program Files /, then the folder with the program, by default it is the ASCON folder, then KOMPAS-3D V10, and the Libs folder is in it.
