There are many reasons why the computer can "slow down". But the main ones are: poor configuration of the computer, excess temperature, viral activity, "garbage" in the operating system.
Modern users very often face situations when a personal computer starts to work slowly. The reasons for this "ailment" can be different.
Old or weak computer configuration
This problem will be faced by users who, for whatever reason, use a physically or morally outdated configuration. This problem can be solved by a partial or complete upgrade, provided that a personal computer is used. When using a laptop or netbook, only a complete upgrade is possible.
Overheating of the computer
Each computer has a cooling system, the bulk of which works on the principle of drawing in cooled air and blowing out heated air. When the cooled air is drawn in, dust, animal hair, etc. are drawn in. All this must be removed.
Take a screwdriver, a clean brush (preferably a squirrel), and a vacuum cleaner. Power off the computer and disconnect all wires. Open the side cover from the fan side. Reduce the vacuum cleaner to a minimum and remove all kinds of attachments. Switch on the vacuum cleaner and gently lift the suction hose (never touch the parts) brush away the dust with a brush. When finished cleaning, screw the side cover back on and reconnect the computer. It is recommended to do this procedure once a quarter, and more often if you have long-haired pets at home.
High viral activity
Many types of malware can slow down your network or your computer as a whole. To eliminate this reason, update the antivirus software, and if it is missing, then install the latest version. Perform a complete check and disinfection of the operating system and data.
Clogged operating system or its registry
A large number of installed programs, especially those that automatically start and run in the background, can cause memory overflow, which slows down the computer. To fix this problem, uninstall unnecessary software, but be careful not to accidentally uninstall the software you need.
After uninstallation, many programs leave traces in the system registry, which also causes slowdowns. To fix this problem, use a registry cleaner. There are a lot of such programs, and you can easily find them.
